Whether you’re watching your waistline or have a gluten intolerance, Pho 95 has gluten-free options for you.
What is Gluten-Free?
Gluten-free refers to foods that are free of gluten. Gluten is a protein derived from wheat, barley, rye, and oats. For celiac disease sufferers, a gluten-free diet is a must. If you have symptoms like diarrhea, lethargy, weight loss, bloating and gas, stomach discomfort, nausea and vomiting, and constipation, you may have celiac disease. Celiac disease sufferers might feel better by eating gluten-free foods. This condition is thought to impact about 1% of the population, according to researchers.
A gluten-free diet is also popular among people who haven’t been diagnosed with a gluten-related medical condition. The claimed benefits of the diet are improved health, weight loss, and increased energy, but more research is needed.
What are My Gluten-Free Options at Pho 95?
Pho 95 provides a variety of gluten-free solutions to our customers. Vermicelli is a thin white rice noodle. Rice does not contain gluten. Each noodle bowl is served with your choice of grilled meat (which you can leave off if you are vegetarian) over a bed of vermicelli, lettuce, and bean sprouts and topped with pickled daikon, carrots, peanuts (also gluten-free but can be omitted if you are allergic), sautéed green onions, and cilantro.
Since rice is gluten-free, you can also enjoy one of our delicious rice plates. Choose from a variety of meat and steamed or fried rice. Not all of our rice plates are gluten-free, so make sure you check with your server.
The spring shrimp rolls contain shrimp, pork, rice noodles, lettuce, and bean sprouts wrapped in rice paper and are easy on the stomach.
Then of course is our infamous pho. It’s made with rice noodles (and therefore, gluten-free) and our delicate broth infused with herbs, onions, and beef bones. Add some veggies for extra flavor and nutrients.
